10.02.2010 NEW LARGE ORDERS FOR HTI

St. Marien, February 10, 2010 – The HTI Group has successfully concluded large orders for the production of high-tech products for electronically controlled braking systems and for the production of special machines for steel mills. The order value accumulates to a total of EUR 18 million.

The first order concerns the production of special components for one of the internationally leading suppliers of electronic braking systems for commercial trucks. The components - manufactured by HTI’s Group member company Gruber & Kaja - are need for controlling the braking pressure between the left and the right wheel of an axle. They also control the pneumatic pressure in the braking system of the trailer.

Gruber & Kaja is proud to be able to look back on a splendid cooperation with this customer that has already been lasting for decades. The reason to award Gruber & Kaja with this order is that especially due to the great experience with highly complex aluminium die cast parts and the flexibility in the realisation of customers’ requirements, Gruber & Kaja is one step ahead of their competition.

The second large order was awarded to HTI’s company BBG Baugeräte GmbH which is specialised in the production of pneumatic tools and special machines for the pig iron- and steel industry. BBG will supply machines for the maintenance of tap holes in converter steel mills. These special machines are being developed and distributed in cooperation with the Austrian RHI AG. The machines will be shipped to steel mills in Russia, Brazil and India. The jointly developed system is world-wide unique with patent pending.
