- MAJOR ORDERS FROM CHINA AND RUSSIA FOR HTI
11.01.2010 MAJOR ORDERS FROM CHINA AND RUSSIA FOR HTI
Press Release
St. Marien, January 11, 2010 – The HTI centre for extrusion technology (High Tech Extrusion), to which the companies Theysohn and Technoplast belong to, were awarded with two major orders from China and Russia with a total order value of around EUR 9 million. The HTI subsidiary Theysohn will supply extrusion equipment for the production of PVC window profiles and wall panels.
Crucial for the contract award from the Chinese customer was the long-lasting, excellent cooperation, during which the top quality of Theysohn equipment has already been proven. China is an important future market for Theysohn extrusion equipment, due to the brisk construction activity in this market. The Russian customer was convinced of the high technological competency of Theysohn. ”Both orders secure a major part of the utilisation of the capacity 2010. With this backup we are ready to meet the new decade” says the delighted Theysohn Managing Director Xaver Gruber.
Also HTI Chief Executive Officer Peter Glatzmeier regards these two major orders as significant evidence for economic stabilisation. ”After the difficult year 2009 we see this as confirmation of our strategy, to stabilise the HTI Group with high technological competency and increasing internationalisation.” The strategy of the company to focus on the future oriented areas of lightweight construction, engineering and energy technology will prove right during the expected recovery phase 2010.
