Ad-hoc | 21.03.2008 CLOSING OF ACQUISITION OF THEYSOHN GROUP

St. Marien, 21 March 2008. The management board of HTI High Tech Industries AG announces the closing of the 100% takeover of the Theysohn Group. The mechanical engineering group based in Korneuburg, Austria, develops, produces and distributes extrusion equipment for the manufacturing of plastic pipes, profiles and sheets and is recognized as one of the world´s leading producers of high-performance plastics processing machinery.

In 2007, the Theysohn Group generated total revenues of approximately EUR 56m. HTI High Tech Industries AG is acquiring 100% of the group from the previous owners, managing directors Rudolf Zahradnik and Siegfried Topf.

As a result of the acquisition, the HTI Group´s business activities now include extrusion processing technology in addition to plastic injection moulding, the two most important technologies in the plastics processing industry. HTI expects to see growth of the business volume in the field of plastics processing in the future. The acquisition of the Theysohn Group represents an expansion of HTI´s engineering segment.
